Alongside Nuit des Bains and Design Days, two key events setting the pace of the cultural month in Geneva from the 10th to 29th September, the young Swiss furniture producer MÏCXV exhibits in tandem with photographs and paintings by the Parisian filmmaker Barthélémy Grossman. Discover the concise, minimal style of the artistic director and architect Volciane Casasnovas focusing on metalloids. A unique material for ten or so pieces including the ID and Meplat lamps as well as the Leck chair will thus echo Barthélémy Grossman’s visual artwork.

Approached by Ligne Roset to design a garden lamp, Florian Brillet created a portable lamp to hang on tree branches. ‘The choice of portable lamp is quite pragmatic as it is the most adaptable to all situations. The French architect duo agnès&agnès presents its geometrical collection of children’ s furniture at the Cité de la Mode et du Design from 10th to 16th September 2012. This collection of 5 pieces of furniture for children includes elements from children’s bedrooms which have been revamped: toy chest; desk; bookshelf; bench and bedside table. These objects have been redesigned to give them greater coherence and unity. The volumes fit together and the main shape is deconstructed in order to make it functional and fun. The main birch plywood furniture structure is randomly brought to life by colour laminated cubes. These cubes are modules which can be moved around and reconstructed as the child wishes.
